AVID Ohana Outdoor Photoshoot: just for fun

I can hardly believe that it has been almost 2 years since my friend invited me to spend the day in his high school classroom. Looking at that blog post today brings tears to my eyes because when I stepped foot in 9-3 for the first time I never expected that I would build the relationships I have now. That I would look back and see photographs of people who now have names and stories, who I have shared many laughs with, but on that first day I knew nothing about them.

Back then there was only one AVID class, and they were Sophomores.

Over the summer Mr. Anderson and I planned a photoshoot with his two AVID classes. So, for once, there would be some pictures of them off their high school campus just out having fun. Let me tell you, it was fun. We just spent a couple hours hanging out and laughing and really, there's no better way to spend an afternoon.

Today, school starts again. The Sophomores in some of those early pictures are starting their Senior year of high school, and the newest editions to the AVID Ohana are starting their Junior year. I can't believe how quickly time flies. This post is dedicated to the Ohana I am so blessed to be a part of. I hold you all so close to my heart. I hope that this school year brings you everything you want and everything you work hard for. That the pressures of Junior year won't be too much for you to handle and that you'll cherish your Senior year, because sooner than you think college acceptance letters will be pouring in.
