The Anderson Family: families

Tuesday, November 30, 2010 at 7:16 AM

These pictures have been buried in my laptop for weeks. I'm a bad friend. Alexis asked me if I would take a few family photos before Zoe was born. And then Zoe was born and time has gotten away from all of us, I think. It was really weird to go through and edit these photographs now that Alexis isn't pregnant. I can't believe Zoe fit in her belly... weird.

Anyways, here you go, neighbors! Happy Tuesday!

The Wallis Family: portraits in the park

Friday, November 12, 2010 at 9:24 AM

Yesterday was such a full day. My Alexis had her baby yesterday. Zoe Gabriele was born. I'm getting ready to head back to the hospital to see this precious baby again but I wanted to share this amazing family with you first.

I met the Wallis's through the Anderson's so it's only fitting I post their blog on such a special day. :D This family, let me tell you, they are troopers. Our session was only 30 minutes long and not even 5 minutes in it was literally raining. You could see the drops falling from the sky and they still stuck it out for pictures. They're *amazing*!! Jacob and Natalie have the cutest smiles, especially when Natalie crinkles her nose. It's one of the cutest things I've ever seen.

You know how I said it was raining? The kids wanted to ride their bikes and Natalie had just learned how to ride without training wheels so Steve ran next to her, in the rain, just to make sure she didn't fall. Um.. can we say Dad Points?!

Another thing I LOVED about this session was, while we were shooting Marina said she hasn't had portraits done of her and Steve since their wedding. How privlidged am I to be the first to take portraits of them??

The Yollin Family: portraits in the park

Thursday, November 11, 2010 at 9:18 AM

I met the Yollin family while working at the library. The first time I helped them their youngest son was trying to check out a Clone Wars DVD and he was very concerned about it being scratched and unwatchable. It was pretty adorable. Another thing I love about this family is Peter, the dad, *always* comments on my hair. He can't believe I was born with such a vibrant color. Because, clearly, it's natural.

You may remember Jessica from this post earlier this year. For Portraits in the Park Jessica was joined by her sister Elizabeth so they could get some fun Christmas photographs taken. :D
