The Hess & Glanzers: Family

A few months ago my cousin Elise sent me a message on facebook asking if she could book a session with me over the holidays. We joked around about me "fitting her in to my busy schedule" while we were both visiting our family in South Dakota for Christmas. She was so excited to get pictures done it was adorable!
Fast forward to Christmas Day. There's a blizzard outside. I nervously stared out the window all day hoping that it would let up enough for us to squeeze a quick but freezing photoshoot in because I had been so excited to have a photoshoot while I was there! New models and new scenery? Come on, what's better than that?? Saturday morning we all woke up and the storm hadn't let up... at all. I stared out the window for awhile and then decided what the heck? Snow shouldn't stop us! Thankfully Elise agreeded! The rest of the family wasn't too keen on the idea but after some begging ;] everyone ended up out in the snow storm. We took 3 trips outside so we could warm up in between and we only went out in my Grandma's front yard. [Everyone's cars were snowed in.. we couldn't get anywhere]

I love this girl! When I first got to South Dakota I was at her parents house and we were talking about all the places we could do portraits and she was telling me how she shamelessly "blogstalks" me. I was *so* flattered. Then, when we were out in the snow walking from my Grandparents house she literally jumped up and down saying "I'm going to be on the blog! I'm going to be on the blog!" I could not stop smiling. It was the *best*!

LOVE this one!!
