Christmas Trees: personal

Monday, December 13, 2010 at 6:34 AM

Last night I got a text that said something along the lines of "We're going to see Santa. Steven says you have to come."

My neighbors, the Anderson family, have decided to make it their mission to make me love Christmas as much as they do. So, I had to walk 100 miles up and down the streets of our neighborhood, barefoot, looking for Santa. I complain like I didn't have fun. ;] Then I went back to their house, down the driveway from mine, and Alexis told me stories about the ornaments on their Christmas tree. I'm so blessed to be included in their magic.

Their oldest daughter, Phoebe made this one.

An ornament for their middle daughter, Eden.

This was the tree topper for the first Christmas tree Steven & Alexis decorated before they were married.

This was the first ornament they bought together.

The top ornament was for the Christmas Steven & Alexis decided they wanted to have a baby, and the bottom ornament is for the first Christmas of their first baby, Noah, who came 2 years later.

A Christmas tree. With Tom & Jerry playing in the background.

When we finally found where Santa was going to stop last night I sat on the curb next to Jack. We were talking, he was probably telling me a joke and ending it with, "get it? geeeet it??" because that's his new thing now. Then I asked to take a picture of him. His response was: "Um.. Stacee, you should just do your library job. You shouldn't do that photographer job anymore." I didn't get a picture of him.

So, since Zoe isn't old enough to tell me no yet. I'll just take pictures of her. ♥
