Home From The Hospital: personal

I learned from reading blog posts Mr. Anderson has written that you should always write down and document important events in your life. Like submitting college applications... or babies being born. So that's what I'm going to do. Write down a few things as I eat In 'n Out way too late at night. I'm a little delirious.

1. Being a mom is hard. It's even hard when you're only a mom for 48 hours to 3 children you love very dearly. When I walked in the house just now I hugged my mom. I've never appreciated moms more than I do today.

2. Washing dishes is theraputic.

3. I left my shampoo and conditioner in the car. Washing my hair = last priority right now.

4. Sometimes big ugly cries, no matter how big and ugly they may be are just what you need. And sometimes you need them twice.

5. When you have a C-section, your body doesn't automatically realize you had a baby. Because it didn't happen naturally. So often it takes a day or 2 for your body to catch up and do all the normal "you had a baby" stuff.

6. When you're nursing there's two kinds of milk. The New Milk, colostrum, and there's only a little bit of that then about a day or two after the baby is born Full Milk comes.

7. I've never seen a more beautiful baby. I'm biased, I know. But Zoe is gorgeous.

8. I cannot have children. They would give me a nervous breakdown. In the last 48 hours I've had at least 100 panic attacks that range from thinking I lost Phoebe [she was in the restroom], to imagining car accidents with the 3 Anderson kids in my back seat, to a mix up of babies at the hospital [it was Zoe, she looks just like an Anderson]

9. I've never been more in love with this family than I am right now. Even after long days and seeing them worn out, tired, heavily medicated, and cranky; they still fill my heart with such happiness. I'm very thankful to be a part of their magic.
