Dear Alexis: personal

You already know everything I'm about to say. :] When we started hanging out by accident I never imagined we would be where we are today. Never in a million years. Over the last 2 years you have let me put my head on your kitchen table countless times, franticly scrubbed red hair dye off the floor/chair/counter so it would be gone before Steven came home, made me cry in your living room, texted me to tell me you were "just driving and I saw the *perfect* place for a photoshoot". We've wandered the aisles of CVS, Target, and Albertsons because errands are more fun with a friend, experienced "Ugly Day" in another state, driven in rush hour traffic so you could watch me blush being in the presence of my heroes, you let me store my couch and magazine walls at your house for.. years? probably years. And so many trips to Starbucks... so many. You listen to me voice my insecurities almost every day about EVERYTHING and you know me so well I'm sure you've already guessed that inside I'm having a panic attack about blogging this... because we may break up next week. ;] You welcomed me into not only your home but also into the magic of your family and I am forever changed by the love you have all shown me.

I hope your birthday today is special and magical and something you will always remember. And just in case I haven't told you lately I love you and I'm so extremely grateful for our friendship. I'm glad we accidentally started hanging out, although I *clearly* got the better end of the deal. Happy Birthday Alexis.
