101 Things in 1001 Days: personal
Tuesday, February 2, 2010 at 9:57 AM
I *finally* finished. I was inspired to start this list at the beginning of January and it has taken me quite a long time to reach 101 goals. I didn't want my goals to all be about me and I did want to make my next 2.75 years epic. So this is my "List". I'll be documenting my journey through it here on my blog. :D Think about making your own, at least 5 of my friends have started writing their own which makes me SO happy! Even if it takes you months to come up with 101 Things imagine how accomplished you'll feel at the end. :]
The Mission:
Complete 101 preset tasks in a period of 1001 days.
The Criteria:
Tasks must be specific (ie. no ambiguity in the wording) with a result that is either measurable or clearly defined. Tasks must also be realistic and stretching (ie. represent some amount of work on my part).
Why 1001 Days?
Many people have created lists in the past - frequently simple goals such as New Year's resolutions. The key to beating procrastination is to set a deadline that is realistic. 1001 Days (about 2.75 years) is a better period of time than a year, because it allows you several seasons to complete the tasks, which is better for organizing and timing some tasks such as overseas trips or outdoor activities.
