Remembering Summers Begining at Summers End
Wednesday, August 19, 2009 at 6:43 AM
This summer has been an interesting one and a memorable one for many reasons. I traveled out of the country for the first time, started to really take my business seriously, looked forward to movie nights probably more than anyone ever has [yes, in the history of the universe haha], made a few new friends that I truly cherish in some unexpected people, had late night chats and coffee, went on walking and jogging adventures, signed up for twitter, laughed til I cried... more than once, and even took up a new hobby. I say all that to say this, while I did have some amazing times this summer, all of them were had without two of my *great* friends Candice and Cassandra who spent the summer being camp counslers in Beach Lake, PA. It's been the looooongest 2 months of my liiife being without them! haha.
Later today I'll be celebrating their homecoming and I'm *soooo* beyond excited about that! But thinking about that and getting ready to see them again makes me remember the last time I saw them.. or really the last few days I saw them. Early in the year we decided to RoadTrip from SoCal to PA that way they could have a car while they were gone all summer, rather than flying and having zero transportation for 2 months. And I would tag along and then fly home as a first and last hurrah of our summer. I seriously just looked at all of these pictures less than a week ago... because the amazing RoadTrip of the summer was less than ideal. Starting with a sick Cassandra on our first day and then a really sick me the rest of the trip. Fevers and puking into Tillys bags were involved. LOL. Cassandra slept the whole first day and I slept basically the entire rest of the trip, I have pictures from only one day, can't remember anything from traveling through SIX states along Route 66, and I missed out on the last 3 days I would get to spend with my friends. Its rather depressing so I suppose you understand why I have blocked this trip out of my mind all summer.
But, I decided that I needed to finally sort through these pictures and remember the one day I was awake. Especially since my friends will be home so soon! And I decided to share some of our travels with you :]

We made sure to stop at the very last In n Out along our route in Kingman, AZ. We got there over an hour before they opened so we went to random stores in a plaza across the street LOL

These next pictures were at Twin Arrows, AZ my inner photographer was happy here :D Oh! did I mention we decided to wear pjs the entire trip? just to be comfortable.

Cassandra was not feeling well :[

I hate how SoCal never has good clouds! Clouds in New Mexico are crazy amazing! I'm jealous!

These next ones are for Nate, we stopped at his old church in Indiana and I snapped these for him :]

Love it!

You have no idea how excited I am to see these girls! Look out for pictures from our trip to Vegas coming soon!! :D
