HHS Class of 2009s Last Day: just for fun

I've started and deleted this post a zillion times already because everything I'm writing seems to come off as cheesy and I don't intend it too haha. I've been so blessed to spend a few days this last semester with the students at Hawthorne High School. While I don't know all of the students who pass through 9-3 by name I have gotten to know and observe some great ones. And being with them on their last day in not only AGAP but for many of them AVID as well was an honor. Seeing their tears as they prepared to leave the place they learned and grew in over the last 4 years is what I can only wish my high school memories could be like. It's not everyday that you come in contact with great teachers like Mr. Anderson or Ms. Kavarani who truly care about their students... and as ridiculous as it may sound as I watched these teachers and students say goodbye even I couldn't help crying. :]

When I come into 9-3 I always try my hardest to go unnoticed, but it was difficult this particular day because I was in the front of the room with every student facing me as Mr. Anderson taught his one final lesson. [Not awkward at all LOL] And I really didn't want to be a distraction during this last class period, so I really limited the amount of pictures I took because I stopped when people started getting emotional. But I'm really happy with the way they turned out.

FAVORITE! ^^

Normally I just spend my time @ HHS in 9-3 but I also visted 22-2 this time around to sit through a few of Ms. K's classes. This was Ms. K's last semester at HHS so she had her AVID kids, who she has been with for the last 4 years, help her take down all the decorations in her room with her.

Mr. Anderson and I are oddly similar... but I think he hates hugs more than I do. HAHA!
