New York City: personal

If I was organized I would have blogged every night I was in NYC. I would have come back to the hotel room after our eventful day, uploaded all my pictures, edited through the blog post worthy ones, and written something witty and slightly sarcastic that would make me laugh in years to come when I remember this trip with my dear friends. None of that happened. Instead I've been home for 3 weeks avoiding these pictures like the plague because well, they aren't that great or magical or even interesting. They're just pictures of NYC.

I had so much fun on this trip with my 3 amazing friends Cassandra, Candice and Susanna. We decided a couple years ago that we were going to ring in the new decade in Times Square. It sounded epic so we joked around about it and pretended like it was actually going to happen. Then in early 2009 we were hanging around and actually started talking seriously about going like, looking up hotel rates and airfare. By June we had booked a hotel in Madison Square Garden and it seemed like we were actually going. Our epic idea was actually going to turn into an epic adventure. I'll spare you all the details of our week because I'm sure they only really matter if you were there. ;] I'll tell you this though. It.was.cold. I don't think I've ever been so cold in my life. But now, after having had 3 weeks to warm up and reflect it was worth it. Stepping out of the hotel our first morning there without scarves, gloves, or anything warm bursting into fits of giggles at how ridiculous we were and freezing in the rain for 13 hours on New Years Eve in Times Square, I don't think I've ever sang in public more than I did that day. Memories like that make me look at New York lovingly even if it is bitterly cold. Yes, I'm a California girl. ;]

These are mostly "artsy" pictures... if you want the more personal stuff I'm going to post them all on my Facebook page today, so you can check all those out later :] And, I think I'm too lazy to make this 2 blog posts.... so be prepared for looooots of pictures. :D

I had a thing for the Subway... I *really* loved it.

Love these Stacee! Thanks for sharing :) I love the one inside the train station with the Times Square sign. The man & woman in the bottom right-ish corner totally look like they are in an intense conversation...like a still from a movie or something. Great job!
